after a round robin tournament the rankings of the teams were established using Win-Loss method dominance matrix of W+W^2-L-L^2 (where W is first stage win matrix and W^2 is second stage win matrix, L is first stage loss matrix and L^2 is second stage loss matrix). Then the tournament results that were used to attain the ranking order were checked for discrepancies.
I did all this so far. i havent included the actual data because its quite a bit. Now im required to 'mathematically investigate any perceived discrepancies and the effect this may have on the rankings.' I did this by changing the data in the win and loss matrices (and their second stages) to suit the attained ranking. I dont know if im correct in doing so. Also is there any General effects discrepancies have on dominance matrices?? Help would be appreciated.
