Q1 Find the solution set of -|2x-3|<-1
A) {x | x < 1}∪{x | x > 2}
B) {x | 1 < x < 2}
C) {x | x < –1}∪{x | x > 1}
D) None of these

Q2 The set A={1,2,3,4} has the following relations in its
R1= {(1,2),(2,3),(3,4),(4,1)}
R2 = {(1,2),(3,4),(4,1)}
R3 = {(1,1),(2,2),(3,3)}
R4 = {(2,1),(4,4),(3,1),(2,3)}
The only correct statement is
A) R1 is a function
B) R2 is a function
C) R3 is a function
D) R4 is a function

Q3 What should be added to 6x^3 + 13x^2 + 4x + 20, so that it becomes exactly divisible by 2 + x^2?
A) – 8x + 6
B) – 8x – 6
C) 8x – 6
D) 8x + 6

Your subject line says "Easy Questions". So you've certainly at least gotten started on each of these, right? As for "showing steps", yes, you should do that.

So please reply with a clear listing of your efforts so far, and we'll be glad to reply with hints and lessons to help you get un-stuck. Thank you! ;)

These should be easy for you
I am a noob :D

Correct - but these are your problems - assigned to you - and you'll get the credits for solving those.

To deserve those credits - you must work - and show us your work so that we can help you to get full credit!

I am preparing for a test.
and I wont just copy paste your answers.
I will learn from your solution

Yes - but to help you effectively we need to find out what do you know about these problems.

So you need to show us how you would attack these problems - what are your thoughts...

As a first step - can you rewrite the answers given in "plain english"?

Q1
-|2x-3|<-1
|2x-3|>1

2x-3>+1 2x-3>-1
2x>4 2x>2
x>2 x>1

Q2
I know R4 is not a function as it has same domain with 2 different ranges

Q3
I dont know how to divide a polynomial by a quadratic eqn

\(\displaystyle -|2x-3|<-1\\|2x-3|>1\\2x-3>1~\cup~2x-3<-1\)

Q2
Any function from \(\displaystyle \{1,2,3,4\}\) must have four ordered pairs.

I assume you know how divide a polynomial with a linear function.

It is the same procedure - give it a try and show us what you get.
