Double Summation Help

Hello, I need some help with evaluating this double summation and breaking it down into a more usable equation. I am a bit rusty with double summations and I have not seen any examples or answers online similar to this equation.

What do you want to use it for? It isn't clear what problem you have with the notation, or what you need to do with it.

Taking a simple example, if i and j both range only from 1 to 2, then the summation is:

[MATH]V_{Cm} = \sum_i\sum_j y_i y_j V_{Cij} = (y_1 y_1 V_{C11} + y_1 y_2 V_{C12}) + (y_2 y_1 V_{C21} + y_2 y_2 V_{C22})[/MATH]​

Does that clarify anything?
