what is the definition of domain, and, what is the domain of the function
y=b^X?

and, what does this answer say about teh range of the function defined by the equation g(v)=logb V?

You can start with "stuff that goes in"

, and, what is the domain of the function y=b^X?
Is there ANY value for 'X' that doesn't work in there? This is often a more useful question than "What values WILL work."

and, what does this answer say about the range of the function defined by the equation g(v)=logb V?
Have you studied Inverse functions?

These are the same:

1) bX = y

2) logb(y) = X

What, then is the relationship between the Range of a function and the Domain of it's inverse?

Domain of a function is the set of elements such that the function is well defined at....

For the example of y=b^x, the domain is all the real line, if b>0, cause b^x is well defined for any x real
