Hi,

I've just got a question about where I made my mistake while solving this exponential equation.

25-t=4t

25-t=(22)t

25-t=(2)2(t)

5-t=2t

I got=5/3, but that doesn't seem right to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Chris

Who cares how it "seems"?! Prove it!!!!

\(\displaystyle 2^{5-\frac{5}{3}} = 2^{\frac{15}{3} - \frac{5}{3}} = 2^{\frac{10}{3}}\)

\(\displaystyle 4^{\frac{5}{3}} = \left[2^{2}\right]^{\frac{5}{3}} = 2^{\left[2*\frac{5}{3}\right]} = 2^{\frac{10}{3}}\)

So, what was the question?
