can someone help me by explaiining how to divide this

(6 * 10^-3)(7*10^5) / 3 * 10^-4

(6 * 10^-3)(7*10^5) / 3 * 10^-4

(6 x 7) /3 ........ (10^3 x 10^5)/(10^4)

14

(14)............(10^(3+5-4))

14 x 10^4

Hello, CARIRAMOS!

Can someone help me by explaiining how to divide this

\(\displaystyle \frac{(6\bullet10^{-3})(7\bullet10^5)}{3\bullet10^{-4}}\)
The "numerical" part is: .\(\displaystyle \frac{6\bullet7}{3}\,=\,14\)

The "exponential" part is: .\(\displaystyle \frac{10^{-3}\bullet10^5}{10^{-4}} \;= \;10^{-3 +5-(-4)}\;=\;10^6\)

The answer is: . \(\displaystyle 14\bullet10^6\;\text{ or }\;1.4\bullet10^7\)

oops, lost your negative sign

(14)............(10^(-3+5-(-4) ) )

(14) ........(10^( 6 ))

14 x 10^( 6 )

or 1.4 x 10^7
