Find (x (cubed) + 7x + 22) divided by (x + 2). My teacher said something about padding it and using a coefficient of zero, but I really don't know how to proceed from here!

Hi Desan65,

You teacher is telling you to use a zero coefficient on the square term as a place holder when you divide, using long division or synthetic division.

\(\displaystyle (x^3+0x^2+7x+22) \div (x+2)\)
