Hi, could someone help me with dividing polynomials?
My problem is x squared y - 7xy - 30y divided by x+3.
I don't understand how to get the y into the problem. . .could someone help me?

Re: Dividing Polynomials

\(\displaystyle \frac{x^{2}y - 7xy - 30y}{x+3}\)

Find a common monomial factor in the numerator and factor it out. Then factor the remaining trinomial. Then, you should see what is next.
