The info given to us is as follows:

bc
bd

is equal to

c
d

(b is not equal to 0)

and

1. Factor each denominator completely. Write any integral factor as a product of primes.
2. Find the product of the greatest power of each factor occurring in the denominator.

The question is:

Find the LCD for each group of fractions.

1-- 1-- 1--
2y, bc, cd

How do you factor letters?

you simply break them apart-
b X c = bc
c X d = cd
2 X y = 2y

from there, you dou the same thin you would for the LCD of two numbers

b X c X d X 2 X y
