Hello, raywil4!
Where did this problem come from?
It doesn't make sense!
The distributive property says: .\(\displaystyle a(b+c)\:=\:ab+ac\)
. . It involves both addition and multiplication.
This problem has only addition: .\(\displaystyle 8 + \frac{5}{12} + 8 + \frac{7}{12}\)
How do i solve 8 and 5/12ths + 8 and 7/12ths using the distributive property?
