Discrete Math help needed please topic recursive definitions

I am not sure how to approach this problem, It's discrete mathematics. Can someone walk through it with me please. I went over the examples in the section, and yet none of them are of this form. The question asks what is the recursion definition of m^n, the n-th power of an integer m. (n is assumed to be a natural number)
