dirac delta function

Hii everyone,
I want to know which representation of the dirac delta function ( gaussian function of the fourier integral theorem) is best in representing or modeling the direction of a billiards ball. it would be very helpful if u can send a worked out proof the two differnt representation stated above to model the direction of the billiards ball
