I am creating a 3D sculpture for my class project. It is of a motor oil container. I am trying to make the size proportionate. I just printed off a picture of a motor oil container and began measuring it. I decided to just start on the main body not the top head/nozzle. Just the rectangular shape. Hope that makes sense.

My professor gave me these measurements and now I need to figure out the rest. The height is 5"(image) = 25.5" (actual sculpture height), the width is 3.5" (image) = 17" 2/4 (actual sculpture width). I measured the image for the depth and it is 1.5". I just need help figuring out how to get the correct proportion size for the sculpture of the depth.

Thank you.

I apologize if this is in the wrong forum.

Are you sure the width (in "real life") is seventeen and "2/4" inches? Because 2/4 = 1/2 = 0.5, which makes the use of "2/4" very odd. Perhaps there is a typo?

Note: 25.5 / 5 = 5.1, but 17.5 / 3.5 = 5, which is not the same. ;)
