Okay, well probably you are expected to multiply out the square in the numerator: \(\displaystyle \frac{(4x- 1)^2}{x^2}= \frac{16x^2- 8x+ 1}{x^2}= 16- 8x^{-1}+ x^{-2}\). Can you differentiate that?
