Differentiate y=x^1-x

This is my work:
ln 1-x - ln x dx

Power rule;
n u^n-1 du
n = x-1
n^n-1=x
u'= 1

dy/dx=x-1 (x)(1)

What are you doing with the logs...? :shock:

You have the function y = x[sup:2ztlxllw]-1[/sup:2ztlxllw] - x = (1/x) - x. Apply the Power Rule to each term, and you're done. Logs are in no way necessary. :D
