I don't think its either. Is that right

2. Simplify sqrt 3x/2

I believe that is simplify.
but some options I have are

A. 3sqrtx/2
B. sqrt3x
C.sqrt6x/2
D.sqrt3x/2

I think my teacher made a mistake on the two of these
 
Sorry man, but I have no idea what the square root of a hyphen is.

Also, I don't know what you mean in question 2. Use brackets.
 
In #1 if x is a rational number and \(\displaystyle y = x^2\) then \(\displaystyle \sqrt y\) is rational otherwise \(\displaystyle \sqrt y\) is irrational.

For #2
\(\displaystyle \L \sqrt {\frac{{3x}}{2}} \left( {\frac{{\sqrt 2 }}{{\sqrt 2 }}} \right) = \sqrt {\frac{{6x}}{4}} = \frac{{\sqrt {6x} }}{2}\).
