okay this is just a small part of what were. doing. HUGH TEST tomorrow and ive been gone 3 days so go with it.

the question is "describe the transformations required to obtain te graph of the givin function from a basic trig graph.

question 1 ) y=1.5 cos 4x

i guess it wants to know what you have to change to get the y=1.5cos 4x

from the trig function y=cosx. not sure though. i have a 98 average but extra credit is my friend. all help is graciously appreciated.

Extra credit is always a friend - but not without effort.

Please share your thoughts.

A hint:

y = A * f(x) is transformed from y = f(x) by expansion in the y axis.

i have the height is increased to 1.5 instead of 1 and the width of each interval is 1/2 pi and you will have 2 cycles ?

thats what a friend told me. i understand the change in amplitude just not ow the period and frequency come in to play
amplitude=1.5 period=1/2 pi and frequency=2
