Describe the span of the given vectors.

geometrically, i said the span of the given vectors is the xy plane xz plane and yz plane
algebraically,
a -b +0 =a-b
0 +b -c= b-c
-a+0+ c= c-a.

Can someone verify this for me??

If three vectors in R3 are linearly independent then they form a basis for R3; they span R3.
