I do not understand derivatives

The problem asks: By considering, but not calculating, the slope of the tangent line, give the derivative of the following.

f(x) = 5

????

the function f[x]=5 is a straight line more recognizable if written
y=5
the slope, or tangent angle is "rise over run"
the rise is 0 for any length "run".
the slope is then 0
