What is the \(\displaystyle f'(a)\) ?

\(\displaystyle f(x) = 2x^{2} - 5x + 4\) :confused:


Do we take the derivative?

\(\displaystyle f'(x) = 4x - 5\) ??

\(\displaystyle f'(1) = 4(1) - 5\)

\(\displaystyle f'(2) = 4(2) - 5\)

\(\displaystyle f'(3) = 4(3) - 5\)

\(\displaystyle f'(a) = 4(a) - 5\) <== answer
