What Is the derivative of definite integral Sin3t dt over Pi to 4x ?

I got it as 4 Sin12x! Is it correct

Thanks

Hey, look, all i did was plug your answer into my trusty TI-89 to verify that it was correct.

As a tip, instead of using this board as a check, for the above problem, plugged in the following:

\(\displaystyle [F3-1 \ F3-2] \ sin(3t),t,\pi,4x),x \ and \ it \ will \ spit \ out \ the \ answer \ - \ 4sin(12x).\)

\(\displaystyle I \ am \ assuming \ you \ have \ a \ graphic \ calculator \ of \ some \ kind, \ use \ it \ as \ a \ check.\)

Glenn, do you have the GraphLink for your TI-89?. If so, you can post Screen Captures. Here is one from my Voyage 200.

Your TI-89 should have a GraphLink as well.

Thanks Cody, but where do I look for this "GraphLink".

Another thing, how do you get a graph from your TI-89 onto the screen of your computer?

This modern technology constantly befuddles me as as soon as you become comfortable with it, it becomes obsolete.

One can't keep up, that is why there are so many scammers out there, as the security is sorrily lacking in regards to the advancements, ergo, giving anyone with larcency in their heart a field day.

Did you buy your TI-89 new?. The GraphLink software and USB cable should have came with it. Mine did. You just install the TIConnect software, hook up the cable. When TIConnect is launched from my desktop, I just click on Screen Capture and it displays whatever is on the calculator screen. then, it can be saved to the computer and loaded to the site like any diagram or picture.

Cody, yes, I bought my TI-89 new, but many moons ago and all it came with was a cable to hook up to other TI-89s.

Is this what I need? A Ti Graphlink Silver USB for Windows cable, am I correct, they selll at RadioShack for $29.95.

Cody, at you leisure, please try and get back to me on this one, thanking you in advance, BGtH.

Yeah, you can get the GraphLink cable and there is a disk so you can load the software. You can order them online from numnerous places. TI's site, probably Amazon. Let me look around.

Cody, I am going out and there is a RadioShack near where I lived, so I am going to see if they have the cable I need as that is first priority is it not, as without the cable I am totally at sea.

Yeah, you gotta have the USB cable. If they do not have it, then it can be gotten online easy enough. Apparently, the GraphLink is a free download from the site I gave you.

Right Cody, in fact I just downloaded it to my computer. Let me ask you if this is correct, if you know. I have an USB cable and the original cable from my TI-89, Could I use them if I found a cable that would connect the two or do I have to go with the Ti Graphlink cable?

I don't know. You could give it a try and see first. I am thinking the GraphLink cable may be specific. But I can not say 100%.

I will Cody. I am going to see first if I can find a cable that will connect the two I have, not because I am a piker, but because I am frugal.

Have any luck, Glenn?. Let me know if I can help. It's been awhile since done this, but if I remember correctly, all one does is insert the disk and then follow the very user-friendly instructions. Put the TIConnect icon on your desktop. Once you click that, you will see Screen Capture among the choices (along with backing up programs and what not). Make sure when you install the driver for the cord that you use that one when plugging in the USB cable, otherwise it may not 'find' your calculator. It's easy to do once it is installed.

Here are two screen shots from my V200. Sorry, they displayed backwards:LINE2.JPG[/attachment:qgs3d46l]LINE1.JPG[/attachment:qgs3d46l]
