Directions: Find the value of y.

37. GE = y, EH = y-1, GH = 11

How do i do this problem? I need help with everything on this problem?

Without any relationship given for G, E, and H, I don't see how this can be answered. Did they provide no picture or further information...?

Is E between G and H, with all three points on a single line? If so, then it must be true that GE + EH = GH. Substitute the given values in place of GE, EH, and GH, and solve the resulting equation.
