Example 1: 0.24 multiplied by 1.7 = 0.408

Example 2: 1.9 multiplied by 0.16 = 0.304

Are these answers right, or have I put the decimal points in the wrong place?

Thank you!

is this right or is decimal in the wrong place
Always -- ALWAYS get a rough estimate before beginning.

0.24 * 1.7 -- That's about (1/4)*2 = 1/2 Put the decimal where the value is about 1/2.

1.9*0.16 is about 2*(1/6) = 1/3 Put the decimal where the value is about 1/3.

You do not have to estimate exactly like I do. Find a way that makes sense to you. Don't make it complicated. It needs to be quick if it is to be of much value.
