Show that the curve with vector equation is the curve of intersection of the surfaces
png.latex
and
png.latex
. Use this fact to sketch the curve.

I am completely lost.

Would i take
png.latex
and plug it into

png.latex

png.latex

then
png.latex

I dont know what to do.

The first surface is a circular cylinder parallel to the z-axis, centered at (1,0), with radius 1

The second surface is a sphere at the origin, with radius 2.

Did you give us the entire question? I have no idea what is meant by "the curve with vector equation."
