You did very good. :D

My intent:

In the end = position indicator (thus, no container indicator needed)

union = u (position fodder)

dock = port

worker = man

sipped drink = tea

Thank you, Denis, for teaching me that 'portman' is a word. (I deleted my earlier denial.) I think that it's interesting to see portman defined as both a noun and a proper noun (depending on the reference).

Portman is certainly a word

Shame on dictionary.com :(

Good grief; I've also checked four print dictionaries, including two Webster's -- Encyclopadic (Unabridged, new revised edition) and New World College (fourth edition) -- and none of them contain 'portman'.

Yet, your on-line references are clear enough. I'll edit my earlier post.

I have now checked eleven print dictionaries; I have yet to see 'portman' defined as a word, printed in ink.

Seemingly, the printing press is too slow to keep pace with the virtual-evolution of English.

Another ambiguity vector!! :mad:
