\(\displaystyle g1/g= ng/g=n\)
GM/r[sup:1f4yq97d]2[/sup:1f4yq97d]/GM/R[sup:1f4yq97d]2[/sup:1f4yq97d]
R[sup:1f4yq97d]2[/sup:1f4yq97d]/r[sup:1f4yq97d]2[/sup:1f4yq97d]
r=R/?n

how did R[sup:1f4yq97d]2[/sup:1f4yq97d] become on top and r[sup:1f4yq97d]2[/sup:1f4yq97d] become on the bottom?

also, how did they solve for little r getting R over square root of n?

thank you!

there is no other equation. All I have is "determine r in terms of R"

\(\displaystyle g1/g= ng/g=n\)=GM/r[sup:3nxdkwti]2[/sup:3nxdkwti]/GM/R[sup:3nxdkwti]2[/sup:3nxdkwti]= R[sup:3nxdkwti]2[/sup:3nxdkwti]/r[sup:3nxdkwti]2[/sup:3nxdkwti] so r=R/?n ? This line is garbage

how did R[sup:3nxdkwti]2[/sup:3nxdkwti] become on top and r[sup:3nxdkwti]2[/sup:3nxdkwti] become on the bottom?

Dividing by GM/R^2 is the same as multiplying by R^2/GM

also, how did they solve for little r getting R over square root of n?

I have no idea where the square root of n came from; I don't see any n^2 to begin with.

Please type only ONE equation per line.

Just remember (tattoo on your wrist!) that:
(a/b) / (c/d) = (a/b) * (d/c)

Rewriting Denis:

\(\displaystyle \frac{\frac{a}{b}}{\frac{c}{d}} \, = \, \frac{a}{b}\cdot\frac{d}{c}\)
