Cross multiplying Help

Is "X" the same as "x"? No fari switching int eh middle fo teh problem.
Is "P" intended, or is that a typo of some sort.
Personally, I think "cross multiply" should not exist.
1) Promise x is NOT zero (0).
2) Multiply both sides by x^2.
3) Multiply both sides by 8.
Done. Never "cross multiply" again.
