N(x) = 100,000 + 134x + 99.5x^2 - x^3
N'(x) = 134 + 199x -3x^2

How do I find the critical points from this first derivative?

{sigh} Who told you to forget algebra? Have you considered the Quadratic Formula? N'(x) = 0, right?
