Hi FreeMathHelp,

This is my first post here, so maybe you can give me a little help. Here's what I'm trying to do:

* Write a situation for each of the equations below so the equation will solve the situation.
* Solve the equation to answer your question.

1.) 4a=12

2.) r + 5 = 20

3.) 2n + 1 = 11

4.) t / 3 = 8

5.) 13 - f = 6

I have a bunch of these like this that I'm working on with a friend of mine, and I have solved problems like this, but I'm no good at creating them. Any suggestions examples you could provide are appreciated :)

Example for #1. You pay $12 for four super size artichokes. How much does one cost?

Joan has 13 bellybutton rings and Sarah steals f of them. Now Joan has only 6 bellybutton rings.
How many did Sarah steal?

(I can't restrain myself.)

In a Silicon Valley high school, one-third of all paragraphs in students' English essays contain text-speak acronyms. If eight paragraphs in Moonbeam's English essay contain text-speak acronyms, then how many paragraphs (t) comprise his essay?
