Creating a function for graph plot points

I was given five points on a graph and I can't find the equation for the graph. Any help would be nice. Here are the points:
(-2, .25) (-1, .5) (0, 1) (1, 2) (2,4)

There are infinitely-many functions which can fit through the listed points, but I have a feeling you probably covered something in class recently which would fit.

You've graphed the points already, naturally; what did you conclude from the shape you see? What sort of function does this remind you of?

Thank you.

Eliz.

Please, listen to Elizabeth. I'm just goofing off.

I rounded to 4 decimal places.

\(\displaystyle y = 0.0104*x^{4} + 0.0625*x^{3} + 0.2396*x^{2} + 0.6875*x + 1\)

\(\displaystyle y = e^{0.6931*x}\)

You shouldn't get either of those, although it should be rather closely related to the second one.
