corresponding function values

I am probably making this out to be harder than it actually is but can someone give me a hand on this problem. I have another example but it just isn't helping me out.


Find the corresponding function values.
(f+g)(4) =
(f-g)(2) =

anyone? Only thing I could figure out is

f(4)+g(4)

and

f(2)-g(2)

I am stuck after that

To read f(4), for example, from the graph, move to the right 4 boxes along the x-axis, and count how many boxes from here you need to go up (or down) to reach f(x) (the lighter line).

Could someone help me with the other problem?

f(2)-g(2)=???

When x = 2, what is the value of g?

Subtract the latter from the former.
