“n” random variables have same pairwise correlation Pn. What is the highest Pn if:
1)n=3
2)n=4
3) n>=2

I was thinking about induction method( n(n-1)/2 ) but I don’t think it is that easy.

Any help would be appreciated.

Why are you calling that "induction method"?
It's simply the formula for sum of 1st n positive integers...

Start with 3) n>=2 since that encompasses the other two. If the pairwise correlation is the same, what does that suggest, i.e. 1&2 are the same and 1&3 are the same. what can you say about 1&3. prove it!
