Hi, it's me again seeking help w/calc for my daughter. We did this problem last night, and I want to know if I steered her in the right direction.
f(x)={2x+c, x<or=3
{2c-x, x>3
Find a value for c so that f(x) is continuous for all x.
Here's what I did (sorry, but I can't figure out how to use symbols above.)
2(3)+c=2c-3
6+c=2c-3
9=c
Is this correct? Help an old lady!
