I have this question in my homework. Which best describes the dilation from triangle ABC {A (-4,-4) B (-1,-4), C (-4,-1} to triangle ADF{ A' (-4,-4), D (4,-4), F (-4,4)}

a) Triangle ABC has been enlarged by a scale factor of 8/3 to form triangle ADF.

b) Triangle ADF has been reduced by a scale factor of 3/5 to form triangle ABC.

c)Triangle ABC has been enlarged by a scale factor of 5/3 to fom triangle ADF

d) Triangle ABC has been reduced by a scale factor of 3/8 to form triangle ADF.

I can't figure out what answer is best.... I believe both a and d are correct!:(

Between ABC and ADF - which one is bigger?

If ABC is bigger - then - ABC has been reduced to form ADF

If ABC is smaller - then - ABC has been enlarged to form ADF

Now choose your statement....
