confused! please someone explain how this works!

still boggled !

I read the problem like this 302/8 and i divided 8 into 302 and came up with 39, because the problem said 3zy/x and put 0and 2 after the 3 and then i replaced the x with 8 because it says x=8,y=2,z=0. still where does the answer come from?

Given your question:
3zy
___ = ( x=8, y=2, z=0)
x

You see:
3 * 0 * 2 0 (numerator)
________ = ___
8 8 (denominator)
= 0

i think i might have gotten it!

so was i supposed to multiply the three numbers on top with each other then divide the one on the bottem and thats where 0 came from?!

:)

thank you so much, thanks for breaking the equation, and giving me the proper translation, math isnt my second language :)!

how about this one! 20 Xsquared + 30X - Xsquared - X
In the future, please tell us the entire problem. You show us an expression, \(\displaystyle 20x^2+ 30x- x^2- x\) but what do you want to do with it? I will guess that you just want to simplify it. What is \(\displaystyle 20x^2- x^2\)? (If you have 20 "things" and take away one of them, how many do you have left?). What is \(\displaystyle 30x- x\)?

From my understanding, 0 at numerator > > > anything < < < = 0? :)

No, the denominator cannot equal 0.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - -

well, the key really is that z=0.

anything multiplied with 0 will result in 0.

When you divide 0 by > > > anything < < < it is 0 as well. hope that helps!

Again, the denominator cannot equal 0.

Just replace all the variable with the values given and the apply normal math rules you will get the answer.
