confused and exam this week...help please!!!!

My math exam is this week and there is still a topic I struggle a lot with. I'm on the application of sets (universal set, complimentary set and set intersection) which also involves drawing ven diagrams. Examples I've done include A U C = B U C. U represents union and ? represents intersection.

I am trying to figure out is A ? B ? C = A U B U C? (by using a set builder notation).

I think the line above the letters represents negation, or opposite. Any help would be appreciated!!

How do you feel about DeMorgan's Laws? Mr. DeMorgan will get you through it.

Draw your standard 3 intersecting circles.

Find A ? B ? C.

Paint everything but that. The whole universe, excepting that triple intersection.

DeMorgan tells us this is equivalent to \(\displaystyle \bar A \cup \bar B \cup \bar C\)
