Can anyone help me with this question? I'm not sure how to answer it.

Given the composition, f(g(x))=h(x), find an expression for f(x)=?

I thought the same thing, but this is all the information my professor gave me for this question. I do have the next question which relates to the first one.

Question 2:
"Use the expression from question 1 to solve for f(x) if g(x)=2x+1 and h(x)=4x2+4x+7. Note: It is possible to answer question 2 without using the answer from question 1, but that is not what I am asking for."

h(x) = (2x+1)2 + 6
 
With only what you have posted, there is absolutely no answer to this question.

It seems to me, regardless of any additional information provided, that the first question (in its current form) is answerable only with an expression in English. :cool:
