Does anyone know how to work out the following problems, if so PLEASE help me, thank you. :D

Note: I've labelled the "column" information as "parts", so "part (a)" is what is in Column A in my table.

In the following problems choose the statement below that is true about the given number.

A. The number in Column A is greater (a)
B. The number in Column B is greater (b)
C. The two numbers are equal
D. The relationship cannot be determined from the given information

1. (a) The y-intercept of y = 3x-5
. ..(b) The slope of y = 3x - 5

2. (a) The slope of y = (1/2)x - (1/5)
. ..(b) The y-intercept of y = (1/2)x - (1/5)

3. (a) The x-intercept of y = 5x + 6
. ..(b) The y-intercept of y = (2/5)x - 6/5

4. (a) The y-intercept of y =3 x
. ..(b) The x-intercept of y = 2x + 1

I'm not sure what the game is. But, for problem 1, the y-intercept of y=3x-5 is -5 (just plug in 0 for x and solve for y) and the slope of y=3x-5 is 3 (in this form the slope is the coefficient of x). Therefore, I'm guessing that you should answer (B) because 3 > -5.

I'm guessing that you would work the other problems in a similar manner.
