Please reply showing what you have tried, so we can see what's going on.

When you reply, please include clarification. In particular, does "nCr-1" mean:

. . . . .\(\displaystyle \mbox{a. }\, {}_nC_r\, -\, 1\)

...as written, or does it really mean the following?

. . . . .\(\displaystyle \mbox{b. }\, {}_nC_{r-1}\)

(Same question for the second ratio.) Thank you! ;)

I actually tried alot ..
