Please help me I've been out of school for over 20yrs and dont remember any of this. Thanks

32. x +2y=3
66. y +4x=8

In each case determine whether the lines are parallel,
perpendicular, or neither.
72. y=x+7
y= -x + 2

If the slopes of the lines are m[sub:aurvh1rs]1[/sub:aurvh1rs] & m[sub:aurvh1rs]2[/sub:aurvh1rs], then:

Parallel lines have equal slope ? m[sub:aurvh1rs]1[/sub:aurvh1rs] = m[sub:aurvh1rs]2[/sub:aurvh1rs]

For perpendicular lines ? m[sub:aurvh1rs]1[/sub:aurvh1rs] * m[sub:aurvh1rs]2[/sub:aurvh1rs] = - 1

.

the first straight lines are not parallel nor perpendicular. The second straight lines are perpendicular
