A reporter wishes to portray baseball players as overpaid. Which measure of center should he report as the average salary of major league players? (choose one answer and state your reason)


A. the median

B. either the mean or median, since they will be equal

C. neither the mean nor median, since both will be much lower than the actual average salary

D. the mean

I was thinking (d), because the reporter will average the baseball players salary, and compare that to an average person's salary, to show their overpaid, because non- baseball player makes a lot less.


But I' m not sure. Please let me know your opinion

I agree. although, I am also not so sure. The choices are tough. Heres a strategy-
