How do you change a problem such as 6x+3y=-12 into y= form so that it can be put into a graphing calculator.

Say you have:

Ax + By = C ...... A, B & C are some consatnts.

then

By = C - Ax

y = (C - Ax)/B

y = (C/B) - (A/B) x........................... That's it...

Do the exact same steps that you'd use for solving 6 + 3y = -12 for "y=". The only difference is that you won't be able to simplify as much, because of the "x" with the 6. :wink:
