Whenever I hear or read that someone feels special that he/she shares the
same birthday as one of their favorite celebrities, I would tell him/her that I
bet we could find a mass murderer or other notorious criminal who also
shares their birthday.
 
Similar things could be said of ancestors.

Don't be too impressed if you are a descendant of a 12th or 13th century king or queen. With the intermixing since that time, it is just as likely that you are also related to the royalty's contemporary scoundrels and blackguards. The kings and queens just kept better records.

Numerologists may make a bigger deal out of sharing a birthdate, but not necessarily in different years.
 
I claim my ancestor is Genghis Khan - it has not been disproved yet - by nobody, by any method. Not even by "reductio ad absurdum",

Ofcourse nobody accused Genghis Khan of being mass murderer - not when they wanted to live.....
