i have another question..... its determine the point on the graph of y=2sqrtx that is closest to the point (6,0)

Distance formula.

If (x,y) represents ALL points, can you write an expression that gives their distance from the given point?

How about \(\displaystyle \sqrt{(x-6)^{2}-(y-0)^{2}}\)?

Given that, is there a subset of these points (x,y) that is in on \(\displaystyle y\,=\,2*\sqrt{x}\)?
