Julie has cats, fish and frogs as pets. The number of frogs she has is one more than the number of cats, and the number of fish is three times
the number of frogs. Of the following, which could be the total number of Julie's pets?

(a) 16

(b) 17

(c) 18

(d) 19

(e) 20

What variable(s) did you define? What expression(s) have you developed? What equation(s) do you have?

Please reply with all of your work and reasoning so far. Thank you! :D

I haven't set anything up yet as I want to make sure I set it up correctly
Once I get the set up i'm sure I can get it
There are just too many things to memorize!

Assume,

# of Cats = C

# of fish = H

# of fogs = G

The number of frogs she has is one more than the number of cats

Then

G = C + 1........................(1)

Now continue....

I do not see anything here that needs to be memorized!!!
