The Niagara Falls SkyWheel is one of the tallest Ferris wheels in North America, is in Niagara Falls Ontario. It has a diameter of 50.5 m and rotates 1 revolution in 2 minutes. The lowest point on the wheel is 2.5 m from the ground.

a) Sketch a graph that shows the height of a rider over time for one rotation.

b) What is the highest point a rider will reach?

c)Write an equation that will model the height of the rider over time.

d)Use the equation to find the height of the rider after 10 secs.

e)How would the graph and the equation change if the SkyWheel was set to a maximum speed of 1.5 revolutions per minute?

If I were to do this problem - I would first draw a sketch of the situation.

Please show us what you have tried and exactly where you are stuck.

Can you please help me with this question dont understand.
Please be specific about which parts you don't understand. Is it the description of the wheel and its motion, or a particular thing that was asked? If you made a sketch as they ask, that would be a good thing to show us, even if you are sure it is wrong.

Since the lowest point is 2.5 m and the radius is 50.5 m, the center is 50.5+ 2.5= 53 meters above the ground.
Now, here's the problem with you not showing any work at all. I do not know what you do understand about the problem and what kinds of mathematics you can apply. So I don't know what kinds of hints will help you!
If I were attempting to do this problem, I would remember that I had once learned that a circle, with center at \(\displaystyle (x_0, y_0)\) and radius R, can be represented by parametric equations \(\displaystyle x= x_0+ R cos(\theta)\) and \(\displaystyle y= R sin(\theta)\) with \(\displaystyle \theta\) going from 0 to \(\displaystyle 2\pi\). And if it does "one revolution in 2 minutes" then it goes 360 degrees in 2 minutes so 180 "degrees per minute"- if we measure \(\displaystyle \theta\) in degrees then \(\displaystyle \theta= 180 t\) where t is the time measured in minutes and then \(\displaystyle = x_0+ Rcos(180 t)\) and \(\displaystyle y= y_0+ Rsin(180 t)\). In this problem, R= 50.5, \(\displaystyle y_0\)= 53, and we can take \(\displaystyle x_0\) equal to 0. Does any of that make sense to you?
