f(z) = z^2 + c
z[sup:yijiq23t]0[/sup:yijiq23t] = 1 + i
c= -i

Can you please find the first four iterates?

For quick review of iteration of functions - go to:

http://aleph0.clarku.edu/~djoyce/julia/julia.html

Then please show us your work, indicating exactly where you are stuck - so that we know where to begin to help you.

I'll do the first iteration for you:

f(z[sub:ihx78lxf]0[/sub:ihx78lxf]) = (1+i)[sup:ihx78lxf]2[/sup:ihx78lxf] -i = i = z[sub:ihx78lxf]1[/sub:ihx78lxf]

f(z[sub:ihx78lxf]1[/sub:ihx78lxf]) = -1 - i = z[sub:ihx78lxf]2[/sub:ihx78lxf] = -z[sub:ihx78lxf]0[/sub:ihx78lxf]

Now continue....
