5. maximum and minimum values
6. points of inflection
7. undefined tangent slope points

I missed this lesson in class and now they're on an assignment.

These topics would not have been covered in one class period. I don't think they'd even have been covered within the syllabus of one course. If you are working with points of inflection (second derivatives in calculus) and haven't yet learned about "slope" and "intercepts" (beginning algebra), then you may have been placed in the wrong course. :shock:
