Hi, I have some calculus questions which I dont know if i got the right answers or not. Can someone let me know if they are correct, if not can you please show me where is my mistake, thanks. I also have some questions that I dont understand on how to begin, thanks.
IF F(X) =X^3 + 3X^2 +4X +5 AND G(X)=5, THEN G9F(X)) =
WELL FOR THIS ONE, I SUBSTITUTE 5 FOR ALL THE
X SUCH AS: (5)^3+3(5)^2+4(5)+5 = 225, is this correct?
2)the graph of y= 5X^4 - X^5 has a point of inflection at?
This is what I did:
y= 5X^4-x^5
y'=20X^3 - 5x^4
y''=60X^2-20X^3
20X^2(x-3) = 0
I get the points (0,3), is this correct?
3) when the area in square units of an expanding circle is increasing twice as fast as its radius in linear units, the radius is?
I know the area of a circle is Pi*r^2
If i take derivative it will be 2*Pi*r, this is where I get stuck, can someone help me out, i dont know what to after this one.
4)If F(x) = (4)/x-1 and g(x) = 2X, then the solution set of F(G(X))=G(F(x)) is:
(4)/(2X-1) = (8)\(X-1)
4X-4=16X-8
4X - 4 -16X + 8 = 0
-12X - 4 = 0
-12X/12 + 4\12
X = 1\3 IS THIS CORRECT?
i IWLL REALLY APPRECIATED, THANKS
