In an accident an automobile rolls over on it's roof. The officer making the report inadvertently records the six digit number on the license plate as it reads upside down. If the original number of the plate is subtracted from the wrong number that was recorded, the difference is 512,082. What was the original number plate?

Please help me......it's due next week!!

Why is this a calculus problem?

Are you counting 2 and 5 as inversions of each other?

You can discard 3, 4, and 7 as possibilies.

If the plate typestyle has serifs, you can also throw out 1.

Not a very well-defined problem.
